UrbanPiper Strengthens Its Global Presence with Rebranding and Major Expansion Plans in the U.S.

UrbanPiper, the leading restaurant management platform, has taken a significant step towards expanding its global reach and simplifying restaurant operations with the official rebranding of its U.S.-based subsidiary, Ordermark, to UrbanPiper. This strategic move reflects the company’s vision to become a global leader in empowering restaurants with smarter technology solutions and enhancing their online ordering capabilities.

Founded in 2016 in Bangalore, UrbanPiper has quickly become a key player in the food-tech ecosystem, supporting over 45,000 restaurants across more than 30 countries. With an expanding customer base that includes both global chains like McDonald’s, Pizza Hut, KFC, and Subway, as well as iconic Indian brands such as Curefoods, Wow! Momo, Theobroma, and Haldiram’s, UrbanPiper has solidified its role as a trusted partner for restaurants seeking to streamline operations and drive growth.

In 2022, the company raised $24 million in Series B funding from prominent investors including Peak XV (formerly Sequoia Capital), Tiger Global, and food delivery giants Swiggy and Zomato. These funds have been instrumental in supporting UrbanPiper’s expansion into international markets, bolstering its platform capabilities, and enhancing its service offerings.

One of UrbanPiper’s standout features is its all-in-one restaurant management platform, which enables seamless integration with over 50 food delivery platforms, including Swiggy and Zomato, and more than 350 point-of-sale (POS) systems. The platform simplifies the management of online orders, providing restaurant owners with a single interface to oversee operations, track analytics, and optimize their delivery performance. With the platform processing approximately 800,000 food delivery orders daily in India, UrbanPiper accounts for over 20% of the country’s online food delivery transactions.

As part of its ambitious global expansion, UrbanPiper is targeting a tenfold increase in its U.S. market presence by 2027. The company plans to scale its footprint from 5,000 to 50,000 restaurant clients in the U.S. alone. In an effort to ensure a seamless transition for its U.S. clients, UrbanPiper has also integrated existing Ordermark customers into its upgraded platform at no additional cost, ensuring there are no service disruptions.

Ashish Saxena, President of UrbanPiper, emphasized the company’s commitment to understanding and solving the unique challenges faced by restaurant owners. “UrbanPiper is built by a team that truly cares about the unique challenges faced by restaurant owners,” said Saxena. “With the official launch of the UrbanPiper platform in the U.S., we are aiming for 10x growth over the next three years. As a homegrown company, it fills me with immense pride to see our vision make an impact on the global stage, empowering restaurants to scale and thrive in an ever-evolving industry.”

UrbanPiper’s platform not only streamlines day-to-day operations but also provides detailed analytics and powerful decision-making tools to help restaurant owners increase their revenue. By offering better operational control, real-time data insights, and seamless integration with major food delivery platforms, UrbanPiper is becoming an indispensable tool for restaurants looking to stay ahead in a rapidly changing market.

With an unwavering focus on driving innovation and simplifying restaurant management, UrbanPiper is well-positioned to revolutionize the global food service industry and continue its rapid expansion in the years to come.
