1. Vodafone Idea:
Debt-laden telecom operator Vodafone Idea announced its board’s approval for a preferential issuance of up to 175.53 crore shares to two Vodafone Group entities. The issuance, set at ₹11.28 per equity share, aims to raise ₹1,980 crore. The floor price determination for the issue is pegged to December 6, 2024.
2. NHPC:
NHPC has scheduled a board meeting for December 12, 2024, to deliberate on a revised borrowing plan for FY 2024-25. The proposal includes raising ₹2,600 crore through unsecured, redeemable, taxable, non-convertible, and non-cumulative bonds via private placement.
3. Bharat Electronics:
State-run defence manufacturer Bharat Electronics secured fresh orders worth ₹634 crore. These orders cover maintenance of the Akash Missile System, communication equipment, jammers, electronic voting machines, and more. With this addition, its order book for FY 2024-25 now stands at ₹8,828 crore.
4. Bajaj Finserv:
Bajaj Finserv’s insurance subsidiaries reported strong premium growth in November 2024. Bajaj Allianz General Insurance recorded gross premiums of ₹1,364.67 crore for the month, while Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance reported new business premiums of ₹659.35 crore. The cumulative premiums for the financial year through November stood at ₹15,781.54 crore and ₹7,449.08 crore, respectively.
5. JSW Steel:
JSW Steel reported a 5% year-on-year increase in consolidated crude steel production for November 2024, reaching 23.23 lakh tonnes. Indian operations contributed a 7% rise to 22.53 lakh tonnes with 94% capacity utilization, while US operations saw a 22% drop to 0.70 lakh tonnes compared to the previous year.
