ShopDeck Raises $8 Million in Series B to Scale D2C Software Solutions

Bengaluru-based ShopDeck, a software solution provider for direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, has raised $8 million (around INR 67 crore) in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Elevation Capital, Chiratae Ventures, and General Catalyst. The fresh capital will enable ShopDeck to expand its team and enhance its product offerings.

Founded in 2022 by Rishabh Verma and Harmin Shah, the company emerged from the closure of their previous e-commerce venture, WMall. ShopDeck helps D2C merchants create and optimize online storefronts, providing services such as website development, catalog management, and marketing strategy. The startup’s primary focus is on long-tail categories like fashion, jewelry, home goods, and apparel.

Verma stated, “We will hire a much higher quality team and invest in the product. We’re also focused on new experiments to continuously improve our offering.”

In just two years, ShopDeck has helped build 500 brands, with 90% of its clients selling online for the first time. Notable clients include JerseyKart, Rizik, and AS Platinum.

For FY 2023, ShopDeck’s parent company, Blitzscale Technologies, reported a revenue of INR 19.5 crore, marking a 41.32% year-on-year growth, though the company posted a net loss of INR 9.2 crore.
