Stock Market Prediction Today: Sensex, Nifty Outlook, GIFT Nifty, Asian Markets and Key Support Levels

The Indian stock market is expected to open lower on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, as GIFT Nifty signals a weak start for domestic benchmark indices. After four consecutive sessions of gains, investors may book profits while assessing global market developments, crude oil prices and foreign institutional investor activity.

GIFT Nifty was trading around 23,718, down nearly 40 points, or 0.17%, from the previous close of Nifty futures. Meanwhile, Asian markets opened with mixed trends, while US markets ended Tuesday’s session on a mixed note amid uncertainty surrounding the 2026 US midterm elections.

Market experts believe that the recent rally could face some consolidation, although easing crude oil prices and improving foreign investor participation may provide support to domestic equities.

Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money, said Indian equities could see consolidation following the sharp four-session rally. He noted that WTI crude prices stabilising around $96–$97 per barrel could ease energy-cost pressures, imported inflation concerns and pressure on India’s external balances.

Sensex, Nifty: How Did the Market Perform on Tuesday?

Indian benchmark indices extended their winning streak for the fourth consecutive session on Tuesday, closing nearly 2% higher amid broad-based buying and renewed investor confidence.

The 30-share BSE Sensex surged 1,225.07 points, or 1.62%, to close at 76,917.85, its highest level of the session. The 50-share NSE Nifty advanced 370.05 points, or 1.58%, to settle at 23,810.85.

The rally was supported by a decline in crude oil prices from recent highs and fresh foreign fund inflows. FMCG stocks led the advance, gaining more than 3%, while PSU banking stocks faced profit-booking pressure and declined over 1%.

According to Ponmudi, diplomatic negotiations, crude oil movements, corporate earnings and foreign investor flows will remain important factors influencing the market’s next direction.

GIFT Nifty Today: Signals a Weak Opening

GIFT Nifty’s decline of nearly 0.17% indicated a potentially negative opening for Indian equity benchmarks on Wednesday.

However, the opening trend may not determine the entire session. Investors will watch buying interest at crucial technical support levels, movements in global markets and developments in crude oil prices to assess whether the recent rally can continue.

Sensex Prediction Today: Key Support and Resistance Levels

The Sensex closed at 76,917.85 on Tuesday, recording a gain of 1.62%. The index opened at 76,288.65, touched an intraday low of 76,033.74 and subsequently climbed to its session high of 76,917.85.

Sachin Gupta, VP–Technical Research at Choice Equity Broking Private Limited, identified the 76,000–76,300 zone as the immediate support area for the benchmark index. Resistance is placed around 77,000–77,200, making this zone crucial for the next directional move.

Gupta said the broader technical structure remains positive, supported by four consecutive sessions of gains, a close above the 200-day exponential moving average (EMA) and improving momentum indicators.

A sustained move above 77,200 could open the door for further gains. However, the Relative Strength Index (RSI) approaching overbought territory and the index trading above the upper Bollinger Band suggest that intermittent profit-booking cannot be ruled out.

Nifty 50 Prediction Today: Bulls Face Key Technical Hurdle

The Nifty gained 370.05 points on Tuesday to close at 23,810.85, reclaiming the crucial 23,800 zone after a strong recovery.

Osho Krishan, Chief Manager–Technical and Derivative Research at Angel One, said the index had surged more than 750 points during the week, reflecting improving investor confidence and sustained buying momentum.

According to Krishan, the Nifty has retraced nearly 61.8% of its recent decline and reclaimed its key 20-day, 50-day and 100-day EMAs. The 200-day simple moving average (SMA) now represents the next significant technical hurdle.

Investors will watch whether the index sustains its gains above 23,800 and builds further momentum. Any weakness in global markets or renewed selling pressure could lead to short-term volatility.

US Stock Market: Dow Jones Falls, Nasdaq and S&P 500 Gain

US equity markets ended Tuesday’s session on a mixed note as investors awaited the outcome of the 2026 midterm elections.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average declined by nearly 200 points, surrendering most of Monday’s gains. In contrast, the S&P 500 advanced 0.4%, while the Nasdaq 100 finished 0.7% higher, although it remained in correction territory.

Investors are monitoring the election outcome and its potential implications for economic policy, corporate earnings and market sentiment. These developments could influence global risk appetite and affect trading in Asian and Indian markets.

Asian Markets Today: Kospi Rises, Nikkei Falls

Asian markets displayed mixed performance on Wednesday, reflecting differing investor reactions to global developments and movements in technology stocks.

South Korea’s Kospi climbed above the 5,800 mark, rising 159.46 points, or 2.82%, to 5,808.25. Gains in semiconductor stocks and a recovery in US technology shares supported the index.

Japan’s Nikkei 225 opened lower, declining 1.1% to 62,386.83. The movement reflected a catch-up effect following the market holiday and volatility across global markets. Buying at lower levels and institutional support helped limit the decline.

Meanwhile, Taiwan’s Taiex index opened in positive territory, gaining as much as 0.38% to reach 43,473.97.

Stock Market Outlook for November 4, 2026

The Indian stock market may witness a cautious opening and some profit-booking after its four-session rally. The Sensex’s 76,000–76,300 support zone and 77,000–77,200 resistance range will be important levels to monitor, according to the technical assessment cited above.

For the Nifty, sustaining above the 23,800 zone and overcoming the 200-day SMA could help determine whether the recovery gathers further strength.

Investors should closely monitor crude oil prices, foreign fund flows, corporate earnings and global market movements before making trading decisions. While the broader technical outlook remains constructive, elevated momentum indicators suggest that volatility and intermittent profit-booking remain possible.
