At least 23 people were killed in Balochistan’s Musakhel district on Monday when armed men targeted passengers from Punjab province. The attackers blocked the inter-provincial highway, forced passengers off trucks and buses, checked their identities, and then shot them dead. The armed men also set fire to 10 vehicles.

The victims were from Punjab province, according to Musakhail Assistant Commissioner Najeeb Kakar. Emergency services, including police and Levies officials, were deployed to transport the bodies to the hospital.
