The government of India revealed GDP figures for the October-December 2022 quarter on Tuesday (Q3FY23). GDP growth slowed to 6.3 percent in the previous quarter after reaching double digits in the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The third-quarter GDP figures will be crucial in determining market mood.
Experts projected that growth momentum would moderate in Q3FY23, as economic activity in the quarter remained markedly unequal. Agriculture, meanwhile, is anticipated to enjoy decent improvement among important sectors.
The RBI forecasted 6.8 percent real GDP growth in 2022-23, and 4.4 percent in the third quarter.
