Swiggy announced the expansion of its 10-minute food delivery service, Bolt, to more than 400 cities and towns across India. Initially launched in metropolitan cities like Bangalore, Mumbai, and Delhi, Bolt is now operational in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities such as Jaipur, Lucknow, Patna, Shillong, and Guntur.
The highest adoption rates have been observed in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, followed by Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, and other states. Swiggy partners with restaurants to prioritise Bolt orders, focusing on dishes requiring minimal preparation to ensure speed without compromising quality.
To ensure delivery partner safety, Swiggy has eliminated incentives for faster delivery, and Bolt orders are limited to a 2-km radius. The service uses an optimised system to assign delivery executives closest to Bolt outlets.
With over 40,000 participating restaurants offering 10 lakh menu items, Bolt combines speed with variety, aiming to cater to India’s growing demand for quick and reliable food delivery.
