Reliance Jio Users Soon to Get 100GB of Free Cloud Storage. Here’s What We Know So Far

Reliance Jio is set to enhance its user experience by launching the Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer, which will provide Jio users with 100GB of free cloud storage starting this Diwali. Announced by Chairman Mukesh Ambani during the company’s 47th Annual General Meeting, this initiative aims to make digital storage more accessible and affordable for millions of users across India.

The Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer is designed to allow users to securely store and manage their photos, videos, documents, and other digital content. Ambani emphasized that the offer not only provides free storage but also positions Jio as a competitive player in the cloud storage market, where alternatives like Google charge Rs 130 per month for 100GB and Apple offers Rs 75 for 50GB.

Ambani highlighted the affordability of Jio’s additional storage options, stating, “We will also have the most affordable prices in the market for those needing even higher storage.” This strategic move is part of Jio’s broader vision to integrate artificial intelligence into its services, enhancing user engagement and data management.

The Jio AI-Cloud Welcome Offer is expected to roll out around Diwali 2024, with specific details on how to claim the storage to be announced closer to the launch date. This initiative not only aims to improve digital accessibility but also positions Jio to compete with major global cloud service providers, potentially reshaping the digital landscape in India
