Rajat Dalal, a social media influencer and fitness trainer, has become embroiled in controversy following a viral video that shows him engaging in reckless driving, which resulted in hitting a biker. The incident, which occurred on February 25, 2024, has led to significant public outrage and legal repercussions. The Faridabad police have filed an FIR against him under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code, including charges for rash and negligent driving.
As the situation escalated, Dalal reportedly absconded from his home just before the police raid intended to apprehend him. The police had visited his residence in Ballabgarh but found him missing. In light of the incident, the Deputy Commissioner of Police has requested the cancellation of Dalal’s driving license, indicating that formal proceedings to revoke it are underway.
The video that sparked the controversy depicts Dalal driving at speeds exceeding 140 km/h while dismissing safety concerns raised by a passenger. His nonchalant attitude towards the incident, where he stated, “He fell down, it’s no big deal,” has further fueled public anger and demands for strict action against him.
