Nazara Technologies’ subsidiary, Nazara Publishing, is set to roll out the Android beta version of its much-anticipated first-person military shooter game, ‘Fearless and United Guards (FAU-G): Domination’, on December 22. The beta will allow players early access to the game’s full suite of maps, modes, weapons, and characters ahead of its official launch. Developed by Mumbai-based Dot9 Games, the beta includes significant updates such as map optimisations, sound enhancements, and weapon balancing.
Participants in the beta will also have the chance to earn exclusive cosmetic items and win limited-edition FAU-G merchandise. Pre-registrations for the Android version are already live on the Google Play Store, with iOS pre-registrations expected to open soon.
This release follows Nazara’s recent investments and strategic acquisitions. Notably, NODWIN Gaming, another subsidiary of Nazara, acquired a 93% stake in gaming and esports media company AFK Gaming for INR 7.6 Cr. Nazara also invested INR 15 Cr in its adtech arm Datawrkz to strengthen its position in the digital advertising sector. To fuel its expansion, Nazara raised INR 855 Cr via a preferential issue, backed by investors like SBI Mutual Fund and CaratLane’s Mithun Sacheti.
Nazara has been on an acquisition spree, acquiring platforms like Trinity Gaming (INR 24 Cr) and stakes in companies such as Pokerbaazi, STAN, and Fusebox, among others. Furthermore, the company plans to increase its stakes in subsidiaries like Nodwin and Sportskeeda’s parent, Absolute Sports, while also investing in startups like Funky Monkeys and Learntube.ai.
Despite these growth initiatives, Nazara reported a 33% decline in its consolidated net profit for Q2 FY25, which dropped to INR 16.24 Cr from INR 24.18 Cr in the same period last year.
