Riddhi Khanvilkar, an employee at the Amber Chemical Company, was tragically one of the 11 individuals who lost their lives in the blast. The explosion, which occurred on May 23, also resulted in injuries to over 60 people, highlighting the severity of the incident.
Amit, who works at a pathology clinic in Palghar, was at home on leave when the explosion rattled their neighborhood. The deafening sound reached his ears, prompting a sense of dread as he realized the proximity of the blast to his wife’s workplace. His attempts to reach Riddhi, only to find her phone switched off, intensified his anxiety.
Frantically seeking information about his wife’s well-being, Amit mobilized his friends and initiated a search operation around the chemical factory and nearby areas. Utilizing social media platforms like WhatsApp, they shared Riddhi’s photos in hopes of locating her amidst the chaos.
