The Met Gala welcomes a new desi visage in the new year. Alia Bhatt made a spectacular entrance at this year’s New York gala. The actress chose a pristine white Prabal Gurung gown with a voluminous silhouette for her first public appearance. The year’s theme is “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty.” The exhibit honours the legacy of a renowned designer who passed away in 2019. Returning to Alia’s ensemble, the gown is embellished with pearls, and she wore a single glove; pearls and gloves were two of Karl Lagerfeld’s signature accessories. The actress’ hair was meticulously groomed, and she completed her appearance with statement earrings and minimal makeup. In brief, Alia Bhatt killed it at her Met Gala debut. Before her big moment on the red carpet, Alia teased her Instagram followers with a silhouette photo and the caption, “And here we go.”

The Met Gala is held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on the first Monday of May. In addition to Alia Bhatt, Priyanka Chopra, Natasha Poonawalla, and Isha Ambani will attend the exhibition this year.
Alia Bhatt will make her Hollywood debut in the upcoming film Heart of Stone, which also stars Gal Gadot. The actress will also appear in Jee Le Zaraa and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahaani alongside Priyanka Chopra, Katrina Kaif, and Ranveer Singh, respectively. Additionally, veterans Dharmaendra, Jaya Bachchan, and Shabana Azmi will appear in the film.
