Meta is pushing hard to reclaim its place in the creator economy. The social media giant has launched a new incentive program, Creator Fast Track, aimed at enticing established creators from Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube to post more content on Facebook, offering guaranteed monthly payouts and boosted reach.
Under the scheme, influencers with at least 100,000 followers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube can receive $1,000 (around ₹92,000) per month, while those with over 1 million followers can earn up to $3,000 (about ₹2.7–2.8 lakh) each month. These guaranteed payments are confirmed for the first three months, as long as creators post at least 15 original Reels on Facebook spread across a minimum of 10 different days.
Meta says the content does not need to be exclusive to Facebook and can include AI‑generated material, provided it is original to the creator. Beyond the fixed bonuses, selected creators gain immediate access to Facebook’s Content Monetization program, which unlocks revenue from subscriptions, fan tips, brand collaborations, and view‑based payouts.
The program also grants perpetual reach boosts for qualifying Reels, better visibility into monetization decisions, and clearer earnings estimates, helping creators understand why some content may not qualify for payouts. Meta has updated its monetization dashboard to make performance and eligibility easier to track.
Why Meta Needs More Creators
Despite Facebook’s 3 billion monthly active users, the platform has struggled to become a primary home for short‑form video creators, who often prioritise TikTok and YouTube. CEO Mark Zuckerberg has previously described this gap as a key “arbitrage opportunity,” noting that many influencers overlook Facebook even though it offers a massive audience.
Meta’s Instagram already pulls more attention for Reels, which has pushed the company to double down on creator incentives. A Meta spokesperson said the goal is to make Facebook feel like a “home” for creators and a must‑be‑on platform, with monetisation as a core plank of that strategy.
In 2025, Meta reported paying nearly $3 billion to creators, with about 60% of those earnings tied to Reels, underscoring its heavy investment in short‑form video tools and incentives.
How Creator Fast Track Works
Creator Fast Track is designed for creators who have been less active or inactive on Facebook, making it easier for them to start building an audience without starting from scratch. The guaranteed payouts apply for the first three months; after that, creators can continue earning through standard monetization features and retain the boosted reach for qualifying Reels.
Eligibility is based on follow‑count and activity on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube, with Meta calculating payments based on those numbers. Meta has positioned the program as a way to smooth the onboarding process for influencers accustomed to other platforms, while also giving them a strong financial reason to post on Facebook.
With Creator Fast Track, Meta is betting that upfront cash and long‑term reach can flip the script on Facebook’s creator problem—and turn a massive user base into a magnet for top‑tier content.
