Flipkart has unveiled a series of seller-focused initiatives to simplify ecommerce onboarding and boost growth for small businesses and first-time entrepreneurs, especially in India’s Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. Central to this effort is Flipkart’s New Seller Success Program, offering 60 days of complimentary onboarding support. Since its launch, the program has driven a 2.3x increase in new sellers achieving early success.

The company’s latest updates are designed to streamline product listing, enhance catalog visibility, and simplify pricing through a settlement-based pricing model. This model provides sellers with greater control over revenue and reduces unexpected charges, helping improve operational efficiency. Sellers like Hubris Apparels and Kayraah Fashion report improved clarity and reduced manual work due to these changes.

Flipkart is also enhancing product discoverability with new tools to help sellers surface trending products, contributing to sales growth of over 2x for some. These tools are proving especially useful for entrepreneurs in non-metro areas.

With over 1.4 million sellers and 500 million registered users, Flipkart aims to strengthen its marketplace as a platform for inclusive growth. The new seller initiatives reaffirm its commitment to empowering small businesses and expanding ecommerce access across India’s growing digital economy.

Earlier this month, Honasa appointed Flipkart’s former executive Yatish Bhargava as Honasa’s CBO.
