On the occasion of Republic Day, ministers in Rajasthan have been assigned specific districts for flag hoisting ceremonies. The General Administration Department issued orders designating 24 districts where ministers, Deputy Chief Ministers, and the Chief Whip of the government will perform the flag hoisting duties. In the state capital, Jaipur, Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari will hoist the flag, while Prem Chand Bairwa, the Minister of the Chief Minister’s home district, Bharatpur, will perform the flag hoisting there.
The remaining 16 districts will see flag hoisting carried out by the district collectors and divisional commissioners. This distribution of responsibility is part of a broader effort to ensure a celebratory atmosphere throughout the state, with the government utilizing its ministers and senior officials to highlight the importance of the day.

The 24 districts where ministers and senior officials will perform flag hoisting duties include a range of regions across Rajasthan. State-Level Republic Day Ceremony in Udaipur
This year, the state-level Republic Day celebration will take place in Udaipur instead of the usual venue in Jaipur. The At-Home event, typically held by the Chief Minister, will also be hosted in Udaipur. The Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma will attend the event in Udaipur, marking the occasion with state officials and dignitaries. This shift in venue reflects a broader effort to spread out state functions and allow different regions of the state to take part in the celebrations.
This distribution of flag hoisting duties and the relocation of the state-level ceremony indicate a strategic effort by the state government to involve a larger segment of the population in the Republic Day celebrations. It also provides an opportunity for ministers to directly engage with people in different districts, fostering a sense of connection between the government and citizens across Rajasthan.
