There was a significant problem with Instagram worldwide, including in India. Despite the fact that the outage occurred very early in the morning in India, thousands of people reported it on Twitter and Downdetector.in. Following a ‘short outage,’ Instagram has confirmed that its services are now again available to users.
There was a significant increase in the number of reports of Instagram being down on Downdetector.in.5:20 a.m. According to the website that monitors service disruptions throughout the world, over 9,500 instances of the outage were recorded in India. The maintenance started a4 a.m.round 4AM (IST) in the morning and continued until approximately 5:20AM. According to Downdetector, there have been approximately 1,88,000 occurrences of the outage around the world. The extent of the disruption places it among the most significant problems that the Meta-owned corporation has seen in recent decades.
In a tweet from the company’s official handle, Instagram said, “Instagram is back! Sorry for the trouble – we had a brief outage earlier and resolved the issue that caused it. #instagramdown”
