At a live ceremony at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday, Royal Challengers Bangalore revealed their uniform for the next season of the Indian Premier League. The event, dubbed ‘RCB Unbox,’ drew a large crowd, including Virat Kohli, captain Faf du Plessis, and the renowned combo of Chris Gayle and AB de Villiers.

The Royal Challengers Bangalore also had a team practise session at their home site, where they will play for the first time in three years.

A few RCB stars also engaged with the throngs of fans that had assembled.

Legends in baseball Gayle and De Villiers were inducted into the RCB Hall of Fame and were given keepsakes as part of the event.

Sonu Nigam and Jason Derulo later performed in front of the audience.

On April 2, RCB will kick off their IPL 2023 campaign at home against the five-time champion Mumbai Indians. Due to injury, the franchise will be without Rajat Patidar and Aussie Josh Hazlewood for at least the first half of the season.

Hazelwood is suffering from Achilles tendonitis and was forced to return home from Australia’s India tour without playing a single match. Patidar, on the other hand, is recovering from a heel injury at the National Cricket Academy.

After placing fourth in the league stage of the tournament last year, RCB advanced to the playoffs for the third year in a row. They then defeated the Lucknow Super Giants in the elimination round before falling to the Rajasthan Royals in the second qualifier.

RCB have never won the IPL despite reaching the final three times.
