Before the T20 spectacular started, the captains of the competing teams gathered to pose for photos with the gleaming IPL trophy. One notable individual is conspicuously missing from the picture: Rohit Sharma, captain of the Mumbai Indians.
According to many sources, Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma was unable to attend the pre-IPL captains’ meeting and annual photo session on Thursday, March 30 due to health issues.
Other than Rohit, representatives from the other nine teams had assembled at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Photos from this occasion were uploaded on the Indian Premier League’s official Twitter account.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar represented Sunrisers Hyderabad at the photo session in lieu of their preferred captain, Aiden Markram, who is currently in South Africa on official business.
