Today’s SGX Nifty forecasts a flat start with a bullish tilt for the Sensex and Nifty. American market cues remained optimistic, with the Dow Jones, S&P 500, and Nasdaq all finishing in the green on Thursday. According to experts, the Nifty will now trade in a range of 16,830 to 17,220. The Nifty’s immediate support today is at 16,978, while the Nifty’s immediate resistance today is at 17,120.

Today’s top stocks to watch are Tata Power, GR Infraprojects, BEL, and Maharashtra. Others include Seamless.

Tata Power: Tata Power shares will be under scrutiny after Tata Power Solar Systems Ltd. (TPSSL) obtained a Letter of Award (LoA) for a 300 MW solar project for NLC India Limited in Rajasthan. In addition, the company’s existing MD and CEO, Praveer Sinha, has been reappointed for the next four years.

GR Infraprojects: GR Infra has been the stock to watch in recent days, and it will be again today, as the business has won three Letters of Award from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) totaling Rs 4,074.5 crore.

Bharat Electronics (BEL): Bharat Electronics will be in the spotlight today as the Ministry of Defence inked 12 contracts worth Rs 8,200 crore with the business for the Indian Armed Forces.

Maharashtra Seamless: ONGC Limited has given Maharashtra Seamless orders for seamless casing pipes that add up to Rs. 537 crore.
