On Wednesday, Indian equities markets extended their losses into the fourth trading day, as rising interest rate fears weighed on global sentiment. Today, investors will closely monitor the minutes of the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) and US Federal Reserve’s (US Fed) February meetings to determine their policy outlook.

Global Indicators

Apart from that, American markets had their worst performance in 2023 on Tuesday, with the main indexes of the Dow Jones, S&P 500, and NASDAQ Composite closing more than 2% down.

The dismal mood spread to Asia-Pacific markets this morning, with the Nikkei 225, Kospi, Kosdaq, Topix, and S&P 200 indices all falling up to 1%.

Meanwhile, Brent crude and WTI crude oil prices fell 0.2% to $82 per barrel and $76 per barrel, respectively, in the commodities basket.
