ICICI Lombard General’s Q4 earnings increased by 40% to Rs 437 crore

On April 18, ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company announced a 40% increase in net profit to Rs 437 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 2023.

In the fiscal year 2021–2022,  non-life insurance earned Rs 313 crore in net profit.

According to a regulatory filing, the company’s total income was Rs 5,255.58 crore in the quarter under review, up from Rs 4,636 crore the previous year.

According to the firm, the ultimate dividend for FY23 would be Rs. 5.50 per share.

The liquidity ratio was 2.5 times at the end of March 2023, up from 2.45 times on March 31, 2022, and greater than the minimal regulatory requirement of 1.50 times.

Profit after tax, or net profit, grew 36 percent to Rs 1,729 crore for the fiscal year 2022–23, up from Rs 1,271 crore the previous fiscal year.
