1. The Kerala Story:

The Kerala Story is a 2023 release of Sudipto Sen’s drama film in Hindi made by Vipul Amrutlal Shah. Adah Sharma, Yogita Bihani, Sonia Balani, and Siddhi Idnani star. The plot centres on a group of women from Kerala who are compelled to convert to Islam and join ISIS. The video is based on the Hindutva conspiracy theory of “love jihad” and falsely asserts that hundreds of Hindu women from Kerala have converted to Islam and been recruited by ISIS.

2.Lakshmi:

Based on actual occurrences, Lakshmi is a tale of heroism and unfathomable fortitude. Lakshmi, a 13-year-old girl, is abducted and sold into servitude. Thrown into this horrible, inhuman world where she is violated and brutally tortured, she barely endures due to the support of the other girls and her own indomitable will to persevere. Eventually, she is liberated during a police operation. Lakshmi demonstrates courage despite all obstacles, while everyone else fails. In a landmark case in India, she defies all forms of pressure, including physical threats, extortion, and bribery, and succeeds in sending the traffickers to prison.

3. Qissa

Anup Singh wrote and directed the 2013 drama film Qissa, which is in Punjabi. On February 20, 2015, the movie was made available in cinemas throughout India, in addition to being made available on DVD and video on demand. Santosh Sivan’s Tahaan: A Boy With a Grenade is an Indian Hindi-language drama film. The plot centres on a juvenile child and his beloved steed. It is the fable-like journey of an eight-year-old boy whose existence revolves around the search for genuine meaning in his limited universe. In the film, Purav Bhandare portrays the juvenile child. Anupam Kher, Sarika, Rahul Bose, Rahul Khanna, and Victor Banerjee round out the cast. Filming took place on location in Jammu and Kashmir.

6.Parzania

Rahul Dholakia co-wrote and directed the 2007 Indian drama film Parzania, in which David N. Donihue co-starred. Corin Nemec and Raj Zutshi assisted Naseeruddin Shah and Sarika in their roles. The film was filmed on a $700,000 budget in Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. The film is said to be based on the true story of Azhar Mody, a 10-year-old Parsi boy (portrayed in the film as Parzaan Pithawala), who went missing after the Gulbarg Society massacre on February 28, 2002, which killed 69 people and was one of many incidents during Gujarat’s communal riots of 2002. The movie chronicles the Pithawala family’s quest for their vanished child. The film premiered at the 36th India International Film Festival in Goa on November 26, 2005, and was released worldwide on January 26, 2007.

7. Aligarh :

Hansal Mehta wrote and directed the biographical drama film Aligarh, which came out in 2015. Manoj Bajpayee and Rajkummar Rao play the main characters.

The film’s international debut at the 20th Busan International Film Festival was met with a standing ovation. The film was distributed worldwide on February 26, 2016, to critical acclaim. Bajpayee was awarded the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actor for his portrayal of Ramchandra Siras.

Anurag Kashyap wrote, co-produced, and directed the 2013 Indian Hindi-language thriller film Ugly. Phantom Films and DAR Motion Pictures collaborated to produce the film, which stars Rahul Bhat, Ronit Roy, Tejaswini Kolhapure, Vineet Kumar Singh, Girish Kulkarni, Surveen Chawla, and Anshika Shrivastava. It also features Abir Goswami in his last film appearance before his departure in 2013.
