A tragic vehicle accident took the life of the actress Vaibhavi Upadhyaya, who was best known for her part in the long-running and critically acclaimed television serial “Sarabhai vs. Sarabhai.”

JD Majethia, who is a producer, was the one who broke the bad news. He disclosed this information in a post on his Instagram Story, in which he said that the incident occurred in northern India.

“Life is so unpredictable. A very fine actress, dear friend Vaibhavi Upadhyay popularly known as ‘Jasmine’ of Sarabhai vs Sarabhai passed away. She met with an accident in the north. Family will bring her to Mumbai tomorrow morning around 11 am for last rites. RIP Vaibhavi (sic),” reads JD Majethia’s post.

The circumstances surrounding her death are still unknown.

Vaibhavi has also acted opposite Deepika Padukone in the film ‘Chhapaak’ in the year 2020 and in the film ‘Timir’ in the year 2023.

The news of Vaibhavi’s death comes only a few days after the body of actor Aditya Singh Rajput was discovered in the flat he shared with his wife in the neighbourhood of Andheri in Mumbai on May 22.
