Meta Layoffs begin for 1500 employees, HR, recruiting teams hit first: Report

Meta Layoffs 2023 have already started. According to recent reports, the Human Resources and Recruitment teams will experience the first round of layoffs at the parent company of Facebook. On March 14, 2023, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced meta-layoffs. It’s anticipated that 10,000 workers would lose their employment.

According to a Bloomberg story, Meta Platforms Inc. has begun implementing its 10,000 job layoffs. According to those with direct knowledge of the situation, the HR and recruiting teams will be the first to go. Currently, it is anticipated that 1,500 individuals will be laid off.

CEO Mark Zuckerberg warned that the “economic climate of layoffs and reorganisation might extend many years” in an internal meeting after announcing the layoffs.
On March 14, 2023, Meta Layoffs 2023 were announced. According to Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg, 10,000 workers would lose their employment as a result of the Meta Layoffs. At the time, the HR Department and the Recruitment Teams have lost about 1,500 employees.

In November 2022, Meta held its first round of layoffs, during which 11,000 employees lost their jobs. These layoffs eventually grew to be the largest the tech sector had ever seen. The computer giant Meta’s November layoffs were also the most in its 18-year history. The employment layoffs resulted in a 13% decrease in Meta’s staff.
