According to CNBC, the government has nominated Siddhartha Mohanty as the temporary head of the Life Insurance Company of India (LIC) for three months starting March 14.
Mohanty is now the managing director and chief executive officer of LIC Housing Finance, and he will take over as the managing director of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) on February 1st, 2021. The current chairman’s tenure expires on March 13. Siddhartha Mohanty was nominated to be LIC’s MD until his retirement on June 30, 2023.
LIC is made up of one chairman and four managing directors. LIC’s current MDs are Bishnu Charan Patnaik, Ipe Mini, Siddhartha Mohanty, and Raj Kumar, and its chairman is Shri. Mangalam Ramasubramanian Kumar.
